Odd Fellows is a historic intimate venue space located on the historic Jackson County Courthouse Square in Brownstown, Indiana. Odd Fellows is the perfect venue for hosting weddings, baby showers, birthday celebrations, receptions, bridal showers, corporate events, meetings, and any small parties worth celebrating.
About Us
Odd Fellows is the perfect combination of historic charm and contemporary style - boasting exposed brick, high ceilings with pressed tin details, state of the art AV, ground floor accessibility and more. Odd Fellows is the Southern Indiana area venue for hosting weddings, baby showers, birthday celebrations, receptions, bridal showers, corporate events, meetings, and any small parties worth celebrating.
The name of our venue is an homage to the history of 111 East Walnut Street. In the late 1880s (through 1906) the building served as the lodge for the International Order of Odd Fellows. Over the nearly 150 years since the building was was completed in 1875, its many occupants have included a dry goods store, the Commercial Hotel, a tavern & billiards hall and a lodge for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. All uses that have actively served as a hub for community life.

We breathed new life into a 1875 commercial building, as part of our expanding commitment to the revitalization and growth of our community. It is our hope that the venue will serve as a space to bring together our community – as a place to CELEBRATE one another, COLLABORATE with colleagues and network with professionals and provide local artists and entrepreneurs with a space to CREATE and display their work.
